I wanted to let you know how great your truck tent performed on
a fishing trip to the west coast of Vancouver Island this summer. I bought the
tent to help save money on the ferry ride from the mainland to the
island--they charge more for over height. This ended up being one of the
wettest trips we have had in a few years; however, I stayed dry in the new
tent. In fact, one night we had between 5 and 6 inches in a few hours and I
slept thru the entire storm. Great product-Great design.
Each time I put up the tent, I get a little faster. I would
advise any new buyers to practice a few times in a protected spot so when
faced with putting it up the first night in a storm, it will be a lot easier.
I am looking forward to more trips in the tent. Also, the idea
we discussed on the phone for a fitted awning would really be great for
getting raingear off and on. (Or shade for those few sunny days in the Pacific
Northwest)
Thanks again---Bob, WA.
Hi folks! I go to a music festival called the Gathering of the Vibes each year, and this years took place this past weekend at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, CT. While it has been setup in the driveway a few times, in essence this was my A1 tents grand coming out party, and was it ever the belle of the ball. You could tell which folks had trucks, because it seemed I had a least a dozen folks complement me about it, and ask me where I got it etc.. I had to leave my site one afternoon when I knew there was a nasty storm approaching, so I battened down the hatches and hoped for the best. When I got back to the site, my EZ up had been destroyed, but the majestic A1 stood proud with a dry interior! Just thought you might like to hear stories like this. Dont be surprised if a few orders come your way from the gazers who strode by my rig. Great Job! Joel Proud Owner
I'm just writing to let you no how satisfied I am with your tent.
I recently decided that paying rent was not for me and moved into my adventure
truck tent. I have been living in my (your) tent know for over a month and
believe I will do so until I pay off my truck and save up to buy some property.
I think I am a good judge of quality and this tent was a well thought out
design. I purchased the tent before I decided to live in it full time and tested
it under extreme conditions. It handled 40mph gusts and a light snow load with
no problem. I'm planning to live in my truck tent for up to 4 years (although I
will probably go through more than one tent). Thanks for making a great product.
Please don't change anything.
Just want to let you know that the Adventure-I tent is
awesome. I do about 15 BBQ cook offs a year and your tent is just what I needed.
After setting it up the first time (which took me about 40 minutes) I now have
it figured out and I can put it up in about 10 minutes. I cooked last weekend
and Friday night it poured rain for about an hour. The tent was great not a
drop of water inside... I even had 4 or 5 people stop by to check it out and
they were impressed.
I took the Truck tent, this last week-end, to the Nascar Race in Fort Worth, and camped out (very crowded event). Lots of people stopped and looked at the tent (inside and out). I have the inside set up with two bunks, painted the plywood, and new milk crates. Many people were impressed by the tent (it was also very windy, and held up well). I bought the tent a couple of weeks ago. Mark- Arlington, Texas
We love it. People in the camp ground came by to look at it.

Re: Adventure I Truck Tent Model ALS-01 (Large/Short) on 2005 Ford F-150 The first time we set up the tent, we went to a pond on our tree farm and methodically worked through the directions. I love to read directions to see how well they are written, (I'm a retired middle school teacher) and found them very easy to follow. We had the tent up in no time. The F-150 has high sides on the truck box and tail gate, so there was a little opening in the tent where the tail gate meets the truck that I stuffed with some mosquito netting. The Retrax leaves a little shelf at the head of the truck box that is perfect for storing little things. Under the Retrax, we put our clothes bags so the pillows wouldn't slide forward. The Bedrug keeps the sides of the truck warm, you can stretch out without touching cold metal. We woke to enjoy the airy spaciousness of the tent. There is plenty of ventilation, I unzipped the door to allow ventilation through the mosquito netting making it like the upper front opening. Next we spent some time in Maine. When we want to move on the next day, we just dropped the tent on top of the bedding, slid the Retrax over the truck bed and we were off. It was easy to set the tent up after dark the third time we used it. We've been camping in the back of an Expedition and find the Adventure-I is perfect, more head room and more ventilation. If it rains, we're just going to lay some plastic sheeting on top of the bedding, drop the tent, roll the Retrax and we'll be off. That way the bedding will stay dry and the tent will be ready to set up the next night. We can even open the Retrax cover and dry the tent out when we stop if the weather clears. I couldn't be more happy. The quality and workmanship is wonderful. We're used to ground tent camping and know a good tent when we see one. I'm so happy we didn't get a tent with a floor in it. I can't imagine having to take everything out just to get the tent out. We can put the tent up in about five minutes and take it down in less. As far as I'm concerned, this tent is the cat's meow. Re: Adventure-I Truck Tent I received the tent on Thursday via UPS as expected, opened the box to drool over it, and glanced at the instructions, but didn't have much time. Friday I left for my camping trip and arrived at the campground very late (11pm or after). I turned on the cargo light on my 1995 GMC Sierra and broke out the tent. My truck has a Freedom Tonneau Cover, so I rolled it up as I would if I were going to haul something, but didn't have to remove the rails. Then I set up the tent, without looking at the directions, and by my self! In less than 30 minutes I had rolled the tonneau cover, figured out what way was what for the tent, poles and rain fly, erected the tent, secured the rain fly, laid out my blanket, pad and sleeping bag and put my dog's bed on the tailgate. The Adventure Truck Tent was the envy of the group! Taking down the tent two days later was just as simple, I did it by myself again and it easily went back into the included sack, poles and everything! Even fit back into the box it shipped in. Thanks again for such a cool product! Joe Peterson
